Additional Comments: 9th scroll for the SCA. First attempt at Gothic Cursive (see "Complete Calligrapher" by Emma Callery). First attempt at something more period-looking, had to fix the border on the illuminated cap (from green to blue) to prevent it from looking like an Italian pizza advertisement. Mantling around the Settmour blazon is OK, but the original intent of the blank-blazon-bearer on the bottom left was to paint then-landed Baroness Merlinia (Settmour Swamp). Partway through it I opted out and created a generic lady.
As for the theme of the little tygers and demons.... As her name was
given to me as "unnamed" (part of an inside joke between HRM Isabella 1
and the recipient), I figured having little demons running back and forth,
stealing names, and even the titles of "King", "Queen" and "Brigantia"
(reference to the little guy on the bottom with his tail snagged by the
larger tyger) would be a little fun with the name joke. Darianna (not Damianna,
I had the name wrong in the text) loved it just the same. :)
