Runes Complete. Taken from the Germanic futhark (runes) listed in the book; these
runes are historical, found on slats of wood and metal as early as the
late second century. As the vikings spread throughout the world, so too
did their carvings or "graffiti" (esp in the case of the Vandals, another
wandering tribe). Although you won't be too likely to find either heraldry
or as much verbiage as decreed in this scroll on an actual runestone, you
may find gravemarkers, memorials, tales of heroism, and on occasion, an
advertisement for a bridge. (No joke... just not the Brooklyn Bridge).
